Now the recent speculation about a rift in the team-management angered Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan so much that he refused to attend any of Kolkata's home games, and had to be persuaded by the players to attend Sunday's match. Shah Rukh, who was angry with the media for rumour-mongering, signed off by giving his team gold-plated helmets and promising their fans that the next season will be much better for his Knight Riders.
If Shoaib Akhtar or any of the Knight Riders were ever to be marooned on a deserted island, they'd certainly be able to entertain themselves with their new playstations, laptops, speakers and watches, all thanks to Shah Rukh Khan. And now, adding bling to that treasure are the 24 carat gold plated helmets for the entire team.
"The biggest prize that you can have for trying in life is this golden helmet so you can only desire this helmet if you deserve it and I don't think nobody deserves it more than all the young boys and all the men who have played for Knight Riders. I wish I could also have played and got one but lately I have not been allowed on to the field but I'll still try to make it," Shah Rukh said.
Shah Rukh's noble speech was followed by Shoaib's noble intention, which he announced later in the evening during the game against Kings XI Punjab.
"I'll give it to charity or to Mother Teresa. I'll put it on e-bay, collect lots and lots of money and then give it all to charity," the Pakistan pacer said.
So, SRK and his team are still one big happy family with the actor rubbishing reports of a rift with captain and coach. He was also quite categorical in saying that he's not about to abandon his team.
"I have told the children who've bought the Knight Riders t-shirt that in 6 months this t-shirt is going to be small for you but the t-shirt will never make you feel small ever and that can only happen if I stick to it with my passion and belief so all these talks are quite irrelevant."
Shah Rukh Khan signed off by saying that he will stay connected to the city and come back next year with his knights to give Kolkata more reason to cheer and this failed IPL script has made him even more hungry for success.

Latest news of King Khan
In less than a week, King Khan cheers his IPL team, the Kolkata Knight Riders' on two different venues in India and before one can say 'wow' he is off to shoot for his home production, BILLU BARBAR and the latest quiz show, KYA AAP PAANCHVI PAAS SE TEZ HAIN.
If that is not strenuous enough, he also turns up to perform at an award function in London, and before one can bat an eyelid he is physically present to unveil his second wax statue (after Madame Tussauds) at the Graven Museum in France. In between he also has time for product endorsements and keeping the press happy by answering all their questions regarding his team and his latest quiz show. We have also heard that he has cancelled his plans for the annual vacation with his family due to his extra busy schedule.
Well, if Bollywood's global superstar does not signify workaholic; we wonder what/who else does!

Amir Khan
Aamir Hussain Khan (born March 14, 1965) in Mumbai, India, is a highly acclaimed and a prominent National Film Award-winning Indian film actor and producer.
Being a part of several commercially successful movies and delivering highly acclaimed performances, he has established himself as one of the top and most successful leading actors of Hindi cinema.
Appearing as a child actor in Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973), Khan's career started eleven years later with the film, Holi (1984). He received his first commercial success with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) and won a Filmfare Best Debut Award for his performance in the film. After eight previous nominations during the 1980s and 1990s, he received his first Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance in "Raja Hindustani" (1996), his biggest commercial success so far. He won acclaim for his role in the Academy Award nominated Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001) and received his second Best Actor award at the Filmfare ceremony as well as numerous other awards. Taking a four year break from acting, Aamir made his comeback with Ketan Mehta's "The Rising" (2005).
Aamir began his career as a child actor in films like "Yaadon Ki Baraat" (1973) and "Madhosh" (1974). After eleven years, he made his acting debut in a supporting role with Ketan Mehta's "Holi" (1984).
In 1988 he got his first leading role in "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" which was a huge success and launched his career.Publicists tried to position him as a teen idol, every college girl's dream. He went on to appear in many other films in the 1990s, which did poorly at the box office.
However, Dil became the highest grossing films of 1990. Aamir went on to write the screenply for Mahesh Bhatt's "Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke" (1993), in which he also acted. After his debut his most successful films included Dil (1990), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992), Rangeela (1995) and Raja Hindustani (1996).
In 2001 he produced and starred in the Academy Award nominated "Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India". The film became the third highest grossing film of that year and gave him his second Filmfare Best Actor Award.
His performance in "Fanaa" (2006) was also acclaimed and the film went on to become one of the highest grossing films of 2006.
He fell in love with Reena Dutta (a Hindu). As Muslims, his parents did not approve of her. As soon as he turned 21, he proposed to her. She accepted and their marriage stayed a secret for a while.Reena Dutta made a brief appearance in a song sequence in Khan's first film, though not a professional actress and already married to him at that time.
It was big news when the marriage was first revealed. Reena Dutta maintained a very low profile and continued her job working in a travel agency. However, Aamir's popularity survived the revelation, and his marriage to Reena seemed to have survived too. They had two children (son Junaid and daughter Aira) and led a quiet, publicity-shunning family life. Reena was even involved, briefly, in Aamir's career when she worked as a producer for Lagaan.
Then in December 2002, Aamir filed for divorce. Reena took custody of the children. On December 28, 2005, Aamir married again, to Kiran Rao, who had been an assistant to director Ashutosh Gowariker during the filming of Lagaan.
Salman Khan
The eldest son on writer Salim Khan (of Salim-Javed fame) was born on 27th December, 1965 in Mumbai. Yet, unlike most of his contemporaries, there seems to have been little plotting and planning in Salman's career. In fact, he made an unconventional debut as Farouque Shaikh's younger brother in 'Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988) and no one noticed. The following year came 'Maine Pyaar Kiya', and his life changed forever. Sooraj Barjatya's syrupy romance turned Salman into a teen icon. Every producer with money in his pocket wanted to sign the star on the dotted line. A decade later, there are die-hard loyalists who swear by him despite his alleged mood swings. Be it Sooraj Barjatya, Sanjay Bhansali or even David Dhawan. In fact, Salman is the only star who has struck a successful rapport with the plump director apart from Govinda, his eternal favourite. Remember the laugh-a-minute riot 'Judwaa' (1997)? Or for that matter 'Biwi No. 1', and their latest, 'Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge' which has also notched up a good opening. Similarly, Barjatya won't hear of signing anyone else as his film's hero. And although Madhuri Dixit walked off with all the accolades for her mesmeric presence in 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' (1994), it was to Salman's credit that he gracefully played second fiddle and let her hog the show. Soon after playing the chocolate-boy hero in 'HAHK', Salman switched over to action-heavy flicks like Rakesh Roshan's 'Karan Arjun' and K K Singh's 'Veergati'. And gradually, the shirt started coming off more frequently. So much so, many people believe it was Salman's pumped up body in the chart-topper "O, o jaane jaanaa" that helped brother Sohail's debut production 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya' (1998), set the box-office on fire. But when it comes to performing, he's been at his best with director Sanjay Bhansali. 'Khamoshi' (1996) brought Salman's acting abilities to the fore for the first time. As the sensitive music composer who loves Annie (Manisha Koirala), the daughter of deaf and dumb parents, he displayed a remarkable degree of maturity. Similarly, his Sameer Rosselini in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' was a thoroughly charming character. In what must be the ugliest time of his public life, Salman was arrested in Rajasthan towards the end of 1998, while he was shooting for Barjatya's 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' for poaching endangered wild animals after allegedly shooting a rare black antelope near Jodhpur. In 2000, he was arrested by police under the charge of having connection with underworld mafia. In 2002, Khan was arrested again, this time for culpable homicide following the death of a man in a car accident in Bombay. He was found to be not guilty. Today he is a sought after hero, working with almost all top banners. On the personal front, Khan had lovely ladies as his women. Salman's love story began with Sangeeta Bijlani and had a well publicised affair with Aishwarya Rai. Salman Khan is supposed to be one of the handsome hero in the industry having many good productions and directors so that he can give many hits and prove himself to be in the class of number one hero's. In a recently issued American magazine Salman was voted as the seventh best looking man in the world.
